So for you we’ve got the most extensive range of gym equipment in the country. We’ve got Women’s Only gym areas. We’ve got licensed early childhood education centres for the kids. And what’s a ‘BodyTrainer™’ personal trainer?

No longer just for the rich and famous, you’ll be surprised how many people you know have a personal trainer. Nowadays it’s the norm to “have a PT”. Our BodyTrainer™ personal trainers are highly qualified fitness professionals who will guide and motivate you to achieve your exercise goals. What’s more, they can only be found at Les Mills. Your BodyTrainer™ personal trainer will tailor a programme to suit you – whether weight management (BodyTrainer™ Revolution), internal strength (BodyTrainer™ Core) or improving your fitness level (BodyTrainer™ Box).

Can I use different Les Mills gyms around the country?

Of course. If you’re travelling out of town all you need to do is present your Les Mills membership card to Reception of the club you’re visiting and they’ll welcome you in. If you have an Auckland single club membership you can upgrade to an Auckland multi-club membership to get the visit privileges.

I don’t really know my way around a gym – do you have an ‘induction’ as such?

Yes, it’s called ‘Gym Explorer’. These are guided sessions around the gym by a qualified Gym Instructor with up to 3 other people just like you. It’s a great way to get to know your equipment, facilities and classes, and each session is absolutely free. Sessions cover everything from cardio workout areas to weight machines, and your Membership Consultant will book you in for your first one when you join.

Do I have to wear anything special?

Yes and no. No, you don’t need to buy the latest gear to look flash. Just wear loose and comfy workout clothing; bring a towel and drink bottle, and you’re ready to go. Yes, we do have some Healthy Rules regarding footwear. Due to Health and Safety regulations closed-toe shoes must be worn in our workout areas at all times. For hygiene reasons please wear deodorant at the gym, that way we’ll all smell nice.

I’ve heard the gym gets really busy sometimes – when is it a bit quieter?

As with all clubs, some times are more popular than others and these tend to be straight after or before work. So, if you’re looking for a different workout time, why not come in early morning or late afternoon? It makes a great break from work – you can shower here afterward – plus we have Group Fitness classes scheduled throughout the day.

I really like the idea of a Women’s Only gym – do you have anything to suit me?

    What’s included with my Membership?

For your membership you get unlimited access to your club anytime it’s open. Our Group Fitness classes (excluding RPM®) are all available free of charge and included in your weekly membership. You have unlimited use of all the in-gym facilities.

Do I have a choice in how long I join for?

We don’t believe in making you commit beyond what’s reasonable. There’s no point signing up for 3 years if you’re only going to be around for 1. Results come over time so we offer you a choice of membership duration - ranging from non-contractual casual day visits and 10-visit concession cards, to 12 month and 36 month full memberships. You need to weigh up the price advantage of choosing longer memberships against the actual commitment you can make to your exercise regime.

What happens to my membership if I want to go away on holiday or get sick?

Easy. You have the option to suspend your membership for up to 3 months. You can even do this more than once, depending on the length of your contract. All you have to do is inform us at least one week in advance to be able to stop the next payment coming out of your account. Suspensions do not reduce your Minimum Contract Period, which is extended by the suspension period. You can pick up Suspension Forms from Reception.

Simply walk in the door with them. As a member you have unlimited privileges to bring different guests along for up to two complimentary work-outs at your home club. All we ask is that they sign a waiver form when they arrive and that they workout with you. What better way for them to experience the club!
