How it works 


The scanner works by using a ‘non-invasive, near infrared camera’ with a standard image sensor. It takes around 24,000 photos of you and then uses a precise algorithm to determine your measurements. 


The scan creates a 3D image of you with critical information that you’ll be able view within minutes.  

  • A body shape rating, which is a wellness score based on the relationship of your body shape to cardiovascular related risk factors. 
  • A body fat percentage reading the percentage of your total fat mass divided by the total body mass. 
  • Your posture and balance giving you an overview of where your neck, shoulders, hips and knees are in relation to the plumb line of your body.  
  • All your girth measurements including your neck, biceps, forearms, waist, hips, thighs, and calves. 
  •  A fitness level reading — the amount of energy your body is burning while at rest

When used a few times a year, you’ll be able to see all your comparison scans and track your progress from one scan to the next.  You’ll also be able to compare your results against recommended healthy ranges as well as how you compare to other Fit3D users with your same gender and similar age.
