Meet the team: Gjin Ow

What’s your day job?
I'm a Hydraulics engineer (pretty much deal with designing toilets and fixtures that run water and drains in a building) and a mother of 2 (does that count?)
 
What got you into teaching/inspires you with fitness?
Passion -  I was initially brought up to be active, as fitness governs around the health and wellbeing of us. But as I go through the journeys of being athlete, there is a need of striking balance in order to be healthy and maintain a great wellbeing.  And as I start to look at fitness holistically, it stems a lot from self-love. Love has to start from within before it can be share with others. And what more doing it through fitness where it is also fun, motivating and de-stressing.
 
What do you teach and why?
I teach Yoga, Bodypump and Bodybalance. I love the programs, and the benefits those programs give. Not only that, there is a little 'less thinking' needed when there is choreography, which sparks new ideas and moves that I look forward to.
 
Why LM?
It is a special space where the more I be myself, the more I can see myself bring the best of others. A space I come back to when I break and mend with the beautiful support all around. 
 
What motivational quote do you live by?
Just do it by -nike-
 
Any other fun facts?
I make very good japanese sponge cheesecake….and never drank coffee in my life!
